Cancellations

1) Students are required to give a minimum 24-hours notice when canceling a lesson. Any canceled lessons should be made up within two weeks of the cancelled lesson, or that lesson will be forfeit. Students who cancel a lesson last minute for any reason other than a death in the family, or a life-threatening emergency will immediately forfeit that lesson.

Some leeway is given here for students who wake up ill that morning, or are sent home from school because of illness. Please cancel as soon as possible if this is the case. Remember, I travel from home to home, and earning the nickname “Typhoid Mary” is NOT on my bucket list!

If I am ever sick, students will be notified and a make-up lesson either arranged, or credit given towards next month’s bill.

2) Sports practices, games, tournaments, or other extra-curricular activities are no excuse for repeatedly missing lessons, or for canceling at the last minute. If there is a long-term conflict with a lesson time, please contact me as soon as possible. I do not guarantee that another spot will be open, but I will do my best to find an alternative solution.

3) If I am ever 10 minutes or more late for whatever reason, I will either extend the lesson to its full length (if possible), offer a make-up lesson, or credit the lesson towards next month’s payment.
